OREM -- Authorities say a fire that possibly started in a car engine burned eight vehicles in the Utah Valley University parking lot.
School spokesman Chris Taylor says the fire was reported about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in a lot near the campus library.
Orem Fire Capt. Chad Van Ornan says the billowing smoke and flames drew a crowd of students from around campus, but no injuries were reported.
Officials say six cars were completely destroyed, while two others had body and heat damage from the fire.
Ornan tells the Deseret News says the exact cause of the fire is under investigation, but it doesn't appear to be suspicious.
