Robert N. Drysdale of Roy will celebrate his 80th birthday. Family and friends may attend an open house in his honor from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sept. 27 at 198 N. 1000 West, Clearfield. No gifts.
He married Susanne N. Anderson in March 1952 in Ogden. Their vows were later solemnized on Feb. 14, 1958, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple. They have resided in Roy for 54 years.
He was born in Ogden to Joseph and Virgie Drysdale. He has had many accomplishments in his life, from serving in the Air Force, to retiring from Hill Air Force Base in March 1988 after 38 years of service.
He and his wife have served in many callings for the LDS Church. They have served as guest service missionaries at Temple Square and as ordinance workers at the Ogden Temple.
Their children and spouses are Debbie and Don Holley of Syracuse, Linda and Randy Butcher of Clearfield, and Dave and Suzanne Drysdale of Clinton. Both enjoy many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Among his hobbies are camping, fishing and ATVing with friends and family.
