Janet Kaye Hadley Ostler passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013 in the company of family and friends at the age of 77.

She was born June 26, 1936 to Alonzo Brigham and Wanda Gail “Grace” Taylor Hadley.

She grew up in Ogden and West Yellowstone, Montana.

She attended Weber High School, graduated Weber State College with her Associates, attended one semester at BYU.

At Weber State College she was president of Otyokwa, and sang in many choirs.

She married Monroe Lloyd Ostler in the Logan LDS Temple on February 8, 1957.

They resided in Clearfield where they raised their six children.

Janet was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She held many callings in the Primary, Relief Society, Scouts, Singing Mothers, and various Stake positions.

She served in the Ogden, Idaho Falls, and Rexburg Temples.

She is the co-owner of the Madison Hotel, Motel, and Gift Shop in West Yellowstone.

She loved singing with her lifelong friends Elaine and Nancy in the group they called “ENJoy”.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister and brother- in-law Norma and Bob Salmond.

She is survived by her husband Lloyd, brother Boyd (Susan) Hadley, sister Linda (Jim) Christensen, daughter Sandra (Dennis) Hooper, son Greg (Darcy) Ostler, son Garrett (Jan) Ostler, daughter Kristin (Gary) Percival, daughter Heather (Nick) Garlick, daughter Amber Sky (Ryan) Thirkill, 20 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.

Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Aultorest Memorial Park.
