SALT LAKE CITY -- As training camp draws near, the Utah Jazz announced Thursday the signing of a trio of free agents in advance of Tuesday's training camp opener.
Forward Mike Harris, guard Scott Machado and forward Dominic McGuire joined the Jazz prior to next week's camp at Zions Bank Basketball Center.
Utah's roster now stands at 16 players, with perhaps three more players joining the group in the days ahead. Terms of the contracts were not released.
Harris (6-foot-6, 235, Rice) has played portions of three NBA seasons with the Houston Rockets (2007-08, 2009-11) and Washington Wizards (2009-10), owning career averages of 2.9 points and 2.4 rebounds. The 30-year-old spent last season with the Chinese Basketball Association's Jiangsu Dragons. Machado (6-1, 205, Iona) split time between the NBA and D-League as a rookie in 2012-13.
McGuire (6-9, 235, Fresno State) has appeared in 342 career NBA games (84 starts) over six seasons.
Wednesday, the Jazz announced that the team had waived guard Jerel McNeal.
Following a week-long training camp, the Jazz will stage their annual open scrimmage on Oct. 5 at 4 p.m. at EnergySolutions Arena. The free event is open to the public, with no tickets required.
