KAYSVILLE -- Davis High quarterback Colton Chronister threw for four touchdowns and 142 yards as the Darts hammered the Viewmont Vikings 36-0 on Friday in Region 1 football action.

The win at Davis High keeps the Darts undefeated moving forward in region play, and the shutout was the defense's second of the season.

"Our defense has done some very good things this year," Davis coach Ryan Bishop said. "They play hard, they're coached well by our defensive coaches, and when our defense can keep points off the board and get the football, we have a chance to win."

The Dart defense came up with two interceptions on the night and held Viewmont QB Hunter Anfinson to 30 yards passing on a 6-of-12 performance. Sophomore running back Jared Barnum, logged 42 yards on 13 touches as Viewmont's leading rusher.

Davis wasted no time getting on the board as Chronister found Mitch Rogers in the end zone from seven yards out, after the defense picked off Anfinson on the first drive of the game.

Senior running back Parker Rose tacked on another score for Davis after taking one in from a yard out.

Rose finished the night with 84 yards on 19 carries.

Chronister put Davis within the five to start the second half after rumbling 47 yards on an option keeper, then found Rogers again from eight yards out for his second score of the night.

The only thing that stopped the Davis offense from running wild, were penalties.

Chronister logged another two touchdowns to Jaden Richens and Christian Smith to round out the night, and seal Davis' sixth win of the season.

* STANSBURY 34, BEAR RIVER 22: At Garland, the Bears led 8-7 after the first quarter but dug a hole even their sterling offense couldn't get out of in suffering a second straight home defeat.
