Glenda Gardner of Clearfield celebrated her 80th birthday with a family dinner.
She was born on Sept. 25, 1933, in Aberdeen, Idaho, to Floyd and Hazel Harris Gardner. She married Max W. Gardner on Aug. 17, 1950. Their vows were solemnized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple on June 15, 1961. He died Nov. 19, 2004.
She attended Idaho and Ogden city schools. She began a career in 1969 with the State Industrial School, serving 24 years.
She and her husband spent several years traveling. The last 10 winters were spent in Yuma, Ariz., returning home to spend time with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She enjoys reading, yard work and shopping. She has been an active member of the LDS Church and has held many positions throughout the years.
Her children and spouses are Jeanie and Robert Eggli, Nancy and Larry Mills, Debbie and Larry Puly, Denise and Louis Call, and Jerilyn and Greg (deceased) Woodbury.
She has 20 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.
