FARMINGTON -- The first step in preparing the Davis County 2014 calendar year budget begins Tuesday.
The commission office on Thursday released its schedule of October meetings dedicated to putting together a budget in time for a public hearing in December.
The commissioners will attend each public meeting to hear presentations from the departments of county government, said Janet Hanson, a clerk in the county commission office.
The public is invited to attend.
The first meeting is set for 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday in Room 306 of the new Davis County Administrative Office Building, 61 S. Main St. in Farmington.
Twelve meetings in all will be held throughout the month.
Two of those -- set for 1:45 p.m. Oct. 21 and noon Oct. 23 -- will be closed to the public so commissioners can discuss personnel matters.
The last public budget meeting is set for 1 p.m. Oct. 25 in Room 201A in the administrative office building.
A complete schedule of the meetings, including times, dates and room locations, is available on the county's website, www.daviscountyutah.gov.
