CLEARFIELD -- Once the East Leopards got their running attack going, the Clearfield Falcons could do little to slow the state 4-A power in a 55-13 loss on Friday night to highlight Region 6 football action.
Malaki Solovi and Ula Tolutau each ran for three touchdowns for the Leopards, now 7-0 on the season. Solovi also caught a touchdown pass.
The first two times East touched the ball, the Leopards scored on runs of 70 and 66 yards. They later added TD scampers of 44 and 84 yards.
The Falcons (1-6 overall, 0-4 in Region 6) scored a pair of touchdowns on the ground, battled gamely against the East squad.
* BOUNTIFUL 44, CYPRUS 10: At Magna, the Braves also chewed up the ground in an easy victory over the host Pirates.
Bountiful's Houston Heimuli enjoyed a solid evening as the Braves improved to 3-1 in Region 6. Heimuli scored three TDs in Bountiful's double-digit win.
Max Latu and Kaden Simmonds added TD runs, while Trevor Lloyd and Ryan Curtis hooked up on a long scoring play.
* WOODS CROSS 47, KEARNS 14: At Woods Cross, the Wildcats controlled the trenches, and the scoreboard.
Woods Cross' Braxton Gunther rushed for 103 yards and three touchdowns, and Tomas Giles added three touchdowns in the Wildcats' region win.
Kearns got on the scoreboard first, but the Wildcats scored four quick TDs to end the mystery.
* DUCHESNE 20, RICH 19: At Duchesne, the Eagles had to scramble to maintain their 42-game winning streak.
Down 19-6 at halftime, top-ranked Duchesne scored two touchdowns in the third quarter to come from behind. Braxton Spencer's 66-yard interception return proved to be the difference against No. 2 Rich.
