Pepperidge Farm opens expansion

RICHMOND — Pepperidge Farm celebrated the completion of a $45 million expansion to the company’s manufacturing facility in Richmond.

The celebration involved a ribbon cutting ceremony, which included company executives, among them Pepperidge Farm president Irene Chang Britt.

The site is the Norwalk, Conn.-company’s only manufacturing facility the west of the Rocky Mountains and produces around 60 million pounds of cookies, crackers and frozen products each year, including Milano cookies.

The occasion also marked the start of production on a new Goldfish cracker line.
