Rosemary Karen Lucas Fawson of West Haven celebrated her 85th birthday with a family party held Friday, Oct. 11, in North Ogden.
She and her twin brother, Robert Lucas, were born on Oct. 10, 1928, at home in Salt Lake City to Charles Elias and Alma Lauritze Hansen Lucas.
She married Paul Clark Fawson on Aug. 28, 1950, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple.
She says her life has been full of love and service to her large family. She has enjoyed sewing, cooking, canning, art, reading, travel, gardening, spending time with her family and serving in many ways as a teacher, leader, temple worker and missionary in the LDS Church.
Their 12 children and their spouses are Paul and Lynette Fawson, Peter and Marla Fawson, Karen and Dee Johnson, Philip and Linda Fawson, Parker and Debra Fawson, Chris and Christa Fawson, Robyn and Bryan Johnson, Robert and April Fawson, Elizabeth and Bryan Kuntz, Sara and Walt Jones, Rosemary and Brent Olson, and Abraham and Sarrah Fawson. She has 68 grandchildren and 81 great-grandchildren.
