SALT LAKE CITY -- The FBI says a man is recovering after he was stabbed repeatedly at a home on the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation in northeast Utah.
Federal officers were called about 10:30 p.m. Saturday to a house in the Richardson subdivision in Fort Duchesne.
According to the Deseret News, the 39-year-old man who had been living in the home for about a month was stabbed multiple times with an unidentified weapon.
He was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Roosevelt then flown by helicopter to a hospital in the Salt Lake city area. The FBI says he is expected to survive.
The victim and a witness told investigators that more than one person took part in the assault, though neither could provide authorities with physical descriptions of the attackers.
