LAYTON -- Police arrested an 18-year-old man who allegedly sexually assaulted a masseuse at knife-point Friday.

Layton Police Lt. Shawn Horton said Martin William Rodriguez entered the massage parlor Beijing Massage at 26 N. Main Street at about 6:30 p.m. Rodriguez told the parlor staff he wanted a massage, but once alone with a female masseuse pulled a large kitchen knife. Rodriguez then allegedly sexually assaulted the woman, Horton said.

Police responded to the parlor and arrested Rodriguez, who admitted to police the alleged crime, Horton said.

Rodriguez was booked into the Davis County Jail on suspicion of aggravated sexual assault, with a $100,000 bond, according to jail records.

According to court records, Rodriguez had not been formally charged as of Monday afternoon. He had no prior criminal charges as an adult.

Horton said Layton police had never encountered Rodriguez in any similar incidents.
