I will not vote for Senator Lee again. In 1933, a political party in Germany contributed to the paralyzing of the Weimar Regime by its obstructionist tactics to the point that Field Marshal Hindenburg felt it necessary to appoint the leader of that party to be chancellor of Germany.
That party was the Nazi Party. That leader: Adolph Hitler. Now here we are today, the great Democracy of the United States of America, and what do we have? One man, of a minority party, and proud of it, Senator Lee and the Tea Party, closing down the democratically elected government of the United States, simply because he can not get his way. Do we not learn from history?
Now has it come to this, that after a history of more than 200 years of democracy in action, we are being held hostage by a minority party? And why is this action not seen as treason? We now only have to resort to anarchy in the streets----Occupy Wall Street anybody?----to make the United States look like one of the European nations in turmoil between 1919 and 1933.
The judiciary branch of our government is the legal arm for addressing the supposed constitutionality of the fight over "Obamacare." If it is unconstitutional, let it be decided again in the courts.
Meanwhile, if it is not unconstitutional for Senator Lee and his minority party to shut down the government, why not me? I say, man the barricades, down with democracy, you have nothing to loose but your chains!
