OGDEN -- Environmental and political activist Chip Ward will present "Please, No More Environmentalists: Embodiment as a Path to Ecological Citizenship" as part of Weber State University's yearlong dialogue about air quality. The public is invited to the presentation at noon today in the Wildcat Theater. WSU is at 3848 Harrison Blvd.
Ward advocates the importance of citizen engagement with environmental issues, especially those that directly affect our health and our lives. In this lecture, he will discuss the need for citizen and community engagement when it comes to air quality.
The lecture is a part of the Engaged Learning Series, which supports university-wide exploration and action on far-reaching community issues. This year's theme is "On Air." The series is housed in the Center for Community Engaged Learning. The lecture is co-sponsored by WSU's Environmental Issues Committee.
