CEDAR CITY -- Two teams wanted another shot at Judge Memorial, but only the Manti Templars will get that chance.

Saturday morning, Morgan and Manti met at Southern Utah University's Eccles Coliseum in the state 3-A semifinals. At stake was a spot in next Saturday's championship game at Weber State's Stewart Stadium versus Judge.

The teams battled to a 28-28 standstill on Saturday, before the Templars found another gear and took charge in the final quarter and a half to surge ahead.

Kamren Fowles scored on a short TD run, then added the two-point conversion.

After the Trojans answered with a drive capped by Kade Carrigan's TD run and Jared Carrigan's conversion score, the Templars put together a final drive, with Douglass Schiess scoring his third touchdown of the game. Schiess added the conversion.

Morgan drove as far as it could before an interception ended the contest.

Ben Holland added a 65-yard TD run, while Ben Saunder and Bridger Streadbeck hooked up on a 35-yard scoring pass for Morgan, which finishes the season with a 9-3 record.
