SYRACUSE -- A 20-year-old Syracuse man is dead after crashing his car into a telephone pole Saturday.
According to a Syracuse police news release, the man was driving a Dodge Neon west, near 1700 S. 3400 West, at about 3:30 p.m. Trying to pass another car, he went into oncoming traffic, then over-corrected before crashing into a telephone pole, ejecting him from the Neon.
The man died at the scene, according to the release. Police were not releasing his name.
The release cited speed and weather as possible factors in the crash.
