Weber GOP Women to meet Monday, Dec. 2

Nov 25 2013 - 10:10pm

OGDEN -- Weber County Republican Women will meet at noon Monday, Dec. 2, at Jeremiah's Restaurant, 1307 W. 1200 South, just east of the Interstate 15, 12th Street exit.

Cost is $15. Reservations must be made no later than noon Friday, Nov. 29.

Guest speaker will be Gary Van Dolzer, who will talk about "rivers of decisions" that Americans face today during times of crisis. He will explain and compare those crises with the challenges George Washington faced while making his decision to cross the Delaware River on Christmas night in 1776 knowing there was no turning back.

According to a news release from the organization, Dolzer, whose own life images that of George Washington in many ways, will be in full George Washington uniform. He is a resident of Kaysville and has been doing patriotic presentations for the past nine years in schools and many other venues. He says it is critical that children as well as adults know that liberty is a journey and every generation has to pass it on, the release states.
