MAGNA -- Police have identified three teenagers who they believe caused thousands of dollars in damage to a church in Magna in August.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports a 16-year-old boy was charged last week with felony burglary, criminal mischief and theft. He's accused of breaking into the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church along with two other boys ages 16 and younger.

Police say the boys entered the church through the priest's home while the clergyman was out of town, then destroyed statues of saints and broke glass doors.

They're accused of stealing items including wine, a crucifix and a 32-inch TV.

Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill says prosecutors are pursuing charges against the two other teens.

Damages neared $13,000, and nearly $6,000 in property was stolen.
