SALT LAKE CITY -- Figuring out when a transit bus is due to arrive at a bus stop just got easier than carrying paper charts around.
KSL reports the Utah Transit Authority is delivering text messages to riders asking for help.
Riders can use a mobile device to type a six-digit location number for a bus stop. The system returns a message with the stop's next three departure times.
Officials say the messaging service, called RideTime, takes the guesswork out of riding a bus.
With a connected device, riders can text their bus-stop number to UTA-UTA - that's 882-882.STORY:201312050043UTA offers text schedule service/Business/2013/12/05/UTA-offers-text-schedule-service.html-1
