Our loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Helen Naomi Anderson Olofson passed away peacefully on December 18, 2013.
She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Harold P. and Esther Kjar Anderson on September 12, 1923. She married Russell Clair Olofson on November 1, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were married for 36 wonderful years.
Helen was a graduate of East High School and attended University of Utah. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in her many callings.
She enjoyed reading, embroidering, gardening and flowers.
Helen was kind, loving and compassionate to others. She always wanted to feed visitors at her home. She loved her dogs especially Kippy. She worried constantly about her daughters. She had a very special relationship with her daughter, Tammy.
Mom we love you and will miss you very much.

She is survived by her daughters, Shawnie (Robert) Stoker, Cherie (David) Burton, Heidi (Steve) Phipps and Tammy Olofson; 12 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Bernice McLean and Duchess Creager.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three brothers; and two great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at the Salt Lake City Cemetery. A viewing will be held prior to services from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd.
