LOGAN — A Utah State University professor has received Norway’s highest honor for promoting the country in education and with a children’s choir.

Sylvia Munsen doubles as artistic director for the Cache Children’s Choir.

The Herald Journal of Logan reports (http://bit.ly/19a36aa ) that the King of Norway Harald V awarded the Medal of St. Olav to Munsen earlier this year.

Munsen was credited for developing a program that sends student-teachers from Utah State and Iowa State University to teach English in Norway schools.

Munsen sat down with the King of Norway just weeks ago to discuss the exchange program.
