LAYTON -- A Syracuse man was killed after being hit by two vehicles on southbound Interstate 15 Thursday evening.
James William Flynn, 29, escaped security at Davis Hospital and Medical Center near the Antelope Drive exit (at mile marker 335) and ran across the on-ramp and three lanes of traffic before being hit, according to Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce. Royce said police are still investigating why Flynn fled the hospital.
The drivers of the two vehicles were not seriously injured. The accident caused delays on I-15 for about three hours, according to updates released by the Utah Department of Transportation.
