WEST POINT -- Police say a Davis County woman crashed her car into a house Sunday morning after running a red light here.
The 7 a.m. accident was at 300 North and 2000 West said Davis County Sheriff's Sgt. Susan Poulsen.
She said the home will require some repairs but the damage was minor. The driver, a West Point woman, also suffered minor injuries.
Poulsen said she believes the woman was distracted and that she will receive a citation for a red-light violation.
She said the accident occurred when the woman was driving her Kia east on 300 North through a red light. A Syracuse man was driving southbound on 2000 West in a Ford pickup. The two vehicles collided, she said, causing the Kia to spin out of control.
The woman's car went through two yards before striking a home at 262 N. 2000 West, Poulsen said.
The woman was taken to an Ogden hospital. Poulsen said the pickup driver was treated and released at the scene of the accident.
Poulsen said the accident was under investigation. She didn't believe the driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
