WSU picked high in track polls

OGDEN -- The Northern Arizona men and Sacramento State women topped the 2014 Indoor Track and Field Preseason coaches' poll.

In a vote by the 11 Big Sky Conference head coaches, Northern Arizona's men were picked by 10 coaches to win the men's championship tallying 120 points. The Lumberjacks won both the 2012 and 2013 championship. Weber State was picked second with 98 points and Sacramento State was picked third. Southern Utah was fifth.

Sacramento State women were picked to win the 2014 title with six first-place votes for a total of 113 points. Northern Arizona was picked second with 99 points and one first-place vote.

Weber State was picked third with 95 points and three first-place votes. Southern Utah was picked eighth.

The 2014 championship will be in Pocatello, Idaho, on Feb. 27-March 1.
