OGDEN -- About 170 residents were left without power Wednesday night after a car struck a power pole.
The accident occurred around 8:07 p.m. at 445 Park Blvd. when a 45-year-old man was driving westbound on Park Boulevard and slid off the road due to icy conditions, Ogden Lt. Scott Conley said. The vehicle hit the guard wire of a utility pole. The driver was not injured.
Rocky Mountain Power spokeswoman Margaret Oler said the accident caused damage to the pole, leaving nearby customers without power.
Maintenance crews had power fully restored by 12:56 a.m.
