Teen skier injured after jump

SALT LAKE CITY — A 15-year-old skier who landed on his head after a jump was set to be airlifted to a hospital.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/1adPnlN) that paramedics were at the boy’s side at Utah’s northernmost ski area, Beaver Mountain.

The ski patrol says the boy lost his balance during a ski jump and landed on his head.

A medical helicopter was en route to pick up the boy.
