Marion Dickemore

Marion Dickemore of Farr West will celebrate her 80th birthday. Family and friends are welcome to attend an open house and light luncheon in her honor from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Farr West Senior Center, 1896 N. 1800 West.

The oldest of six children, she was born on Feb. 4, 1934, in Ogden to Clem and Bernice Stoker Dickemore. She graduated from Weber High School in 1952.

She worked at Paramount Supreme in Ogden, Dairy Queen in Brigham City and began her career in the optical business at Standard Optical for 25 years. In 1978, she started working at Optical Associates, where she still works three days a week.

Her interests include crocheting, quilting, reading, baking, tole painting, counted cross stitch, crewel, embroidering, flower gardening and playing the organ. She also enjoys holidays and family gatherings.

She is an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Farr West 3rd Ward.
