GRANTSVILE -- Ben Lomond led 12-9 after the first quarter, but couldn't capitalize on the early momentum. Sophomore Jaeden Yates led the Scots with seven points, in the 49-31 loss to Gransville.
"It was real nice for about a quarter," Ben Lomond coach Ryan Wilcox said. "If it were an eight-minute game, we would have been in business."
Mountain Crest 73, Bonneville 57: At Mountain Crest, Mountain Crest outscored Bonneville 24-5 in the third quarter after a strong start by the visitors. Bonneville led 36-33 at halftime.
"We didn't play a lot of team basketball - we went individual," Bonneville coach Jason Finder said.
Mountain Crest got to the free-throw line for 33 attempts while converting on 28 compared to just nine attempts for Bonneville.
Woods Cross 61, Clearfield 42: At Clearfield, Luke Jowers scored 16 points to lead Woods Cross to the decisive road victory.
"Thought we controlled the game from tip to finish and we shared the ball extremely well with 18 assists," Woods Cross coach Kasey Walkenhurst said.
