Boyd Russell and RaLene Waldron Russell of Taylor celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
They were married on Feb. 7, 1964, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple.
He graduated from Weber High School in 1956. He served active duty in the Navy for two years. He earned an associate degree in business management from Stevens-Henager College. He worked for Weber County, Century 21 Real Estate, and retired from Hill Air Force Base as a computer specialist in 2004. He has served in many church callings for the LDS Church.
She was raised in Samaria, Idaho, where she graduated from Malad High School in 1958. She moved to Ogden and attendedStevens-Henager College and earned an associate degree in business. She worked at J.C. Penney, Southwestern Skyways and for the city of Ogden. She served an LDS mission to California, married and raised her family, and later retired from Utah Power in 2002. She also served in many callings for the LDS Church.
The couple served two LDS missions to Martin’s Cove, Wyo., in 2009 and 2010. They enjoy camping, four wheeling, snowmobiling and traveling. They say family and friends are their most prized possessions.
Their children and their spouses are Chad Russell, Derk Russell, Cindy Russell, and Dusten and Allyson Russell.
They have eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
