Clifton Thomas Musgrave of North Ogden celebrated his 80th birthday on Dec. 26, 2013, with a luncheon at the Maddox Ranch House Restaurant.
He was born on Dec. 26, 1933, to Clifton Charles Musgrave and Laura Grieve Musgrave. He spent his childhood years in Plain City and still considers himself from here. He had four sisters and is the youngest child. He reports that he was the champion of West Plain City. He thinned beets, cut asparagus from the ditch banks and hauled hay.
He graduated from Weber High School in 1952. He was the senior class president and played several sports. He attended the University of Utah, Utah State University and Weber State University.
He married Sheron Bitton on May 28, 1953. They are the parents of five children.
He was a teacher in many settings and retired as a professor from WSU.
At present, he enjoys golfing and spending winters in St. George. He has had the opportunity to travel to other countries and was always surprised that a boy from Plain City made it to Rome.
His favorite activities revolve around his family.
Their five children and their spouses are Julie and David Sanders, Dan and Me’Chel Musgrave, Jed and Lana Musgrave, Matt and Jana Musgrave, and Melanie and Jefferson Judd. They have 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
