WEST VALLEY CITY — West Valley City police say a woman’s estranged husband repeatedly stabbed a man she was spending time with.
Lt. Matt Elson tells The Salt Lake Tribune (http://bit.ly/1jEcp8B ) that the husband came to the 33-year-old woman’s house Thursday, where the man was spending time. The men got into a confrontation, and the 35-year-old victim was stabbed several times around 3:15 p.m.
Elson says the victim was taken to a local hospital, where he is in stable condition and is expected to survive.
The estranged husband left the house after the stabbing but returned when police had arrived and was arrested.
Elson didn’t immediately know the relationship between the woman and the victim. He says the victim and suspect knew each other. An investigation is underway.
