FARMINGTON -- A 23-year-old man who police said exposed himself to at least two young girls in a Layton store entered not guilty pleas to 10 felonies and two misdemeanors.
Miles Brent Blakeley appeared in 2nd District Court on Thursday before Judge Robert Dale. He is charged with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, second-degree felonies, and two counts of lewdness involving a child, class A misdemeanors.
Another hearing is set for March 6.
Layton police arrested Blakeley on Feb. 10 at Lowe's where he was working after a mother called to report a man had exposed himself to her 4-year-old daughter in the Layton Target store earlier that day when they were shopping.
Blakeley is being held in the Davis County Jail in lieu of a $50,000 bail.
Police reviewed surveillance footage from the Target and other nearby businesses and identified the man who exposed himself as Blakeley.
Blakeley was found by police at the Layton Lowe's store and taken into custody. In his possession was a cellphone that contained explicit videos and pictures of minors.
Police were able to identify one more child who they said Blakeley exposed himself to.
They also released a video to show how fast children who are left alone in a store can become victims.
