Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend,Helmut Robert Blume, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 21, 2014. He was born on May 21, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York, to Hermann August and Charlotte Dorette Blume. He married his sweetheart, Roxie Dale Robbins on August 3, 1956 in the Salt Lake Temple. They spent 57 wonderful years together.

Bob was a member of the Canyon Hollows Ward (formerly the 67th Ward). He servedfaithfully in his many callings, but his passion was Scouting. Hereceived many awards, including the Silver Beaver and the 50 year Scouting Award. He proudly served five years as a Navy SeaBee.

Mr. B worked as a Teacher's Aide for the Ogden SchoolDistrict.

He loved camping, fishing and boating, but his main love was his family.

He is survived by his wife, Roxie; children, Sheila (Dan) DuBois, Kathleen (Greg) Sager, Holly Young, David (Sharolyn), Dennis, Trent (Rebekah) and Peggy (Jim) Ellis; 31 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and brother, Rolfe Blume.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two grandchildren, Elizabeth Young and Michael DuBois.

Special thanks to the staff at McKay Dee for the love and support they showed to dad.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Canyon Hollows Ward, 1550 Rushton, Ogden. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the OgdenMyers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd and prior to services from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Aultorest Memorial Park.
