Lynn and Kathy Poll of South Weber will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at the Maddox Lodge with their family. A family celebration is planned in their honor at a resort in St. George in April.
They were married on Feb. 28, 1964, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple.
She graduated from Morgan High School and attended Weber College. She was employed by L.R. Samuels retail store and had a career as treasurer and court clerk for the city of South Weber. She says her greatest love is for her family. She is known by family and friends for her famous homemade rolls and nana cookies. She has made personalized quilts for her children and grandchildren. She enjoys reading and serving others. She has held many callings in her ward, including president of the Relief Society and the Young Women's organizations.
He graduated from Davis High School and attended Weber College where he met his wife. He has lived in South Weber all his life with the exception of the year they served in the North Carolina Charlotte LDS Mission. He retired from the Internal Revenue Service. He enjoys fishing, hunting and sports. His favorite thing to do is spend time at their cabin with their family. He is an active member in the LDS Church, serving as bishop, counselor and other callings.
Their children and their spouses are Tani and Chad Lynch, Brandon and Konra Poll, Mandi and Michael Spens, all of South Weber; Traci and Dave Wiese, Pleasant View; and Marci Christensen, Poway, Calif.
They are expecting grandchild 19 on the first of March and have five great-granddaughters.
