James R. and JoD’Ann T. Dance recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married March 13, 1964, in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple. A family dinner was held in their honor.
Jim was raised and educated in Utah, graduating from Weber State University. After a 35-year career with Harley Davidson, Jim retired. He is an avid runner, loves his Harley rides, has the most beautiful roses in town and can’t wait for the next road trip in the trailer.
JoD’Ann was also raised and educated in Utah. She graduated from the University of Utah, with a degree in education. She worked for Weber School District and touched the lives of thousands of students over her 30-year career as a teacher. She still dedicates much of her time with young adults, volunteering for the Boy Scouts of America. She is passionate about the arts and continues to further the art education in Weber County as a longtime member of the Drama Club of Ogden.
Jim and JoD’Ann enjoy traveling and spending time with their children, family and friends.
Their children are son, Paul R. Dance and his fiancee, Sherry Majors, who live in Utah and their daughter JuliAne Burton and her husband Shane Burton, who currently live in Hawaii.
