Bruce Gardiner and Laraine Tesch Gardiner of Ogden, Utah celebrated their 50th Anniversary on a trip to Carlsbad, California.
They were married on March 3, 1964 at the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.
Family and friends may attend an open house in their honor, hosted by their children, from 2 to 4 pm Saturday March 29, 2014 at the LDS chapel building 1608 E. 1300 S. Ogden, Utah.
Bruce is a lifelong resident of Ogden, Utah. He graduated from Ogden High School. He retired from Hill Air Force Base. He currently enjoys employment as a contractor with the US Postal Service. Bruce’s interests include puttering around the house, family events and car shows.
Laraine was born in Ogden, Utah to Lucile Bartlett Tesch and Gerald B. Tesch. She graduated from Ben Lomond High School. She worked at the IRS and as a merchandiser for groceries and music. She also worked as a contractor with the US Postal Service delivering mail in Ogden Canyon and Huntsville with her husband, which was her favorite job. She now enjoys working with her daughter in her cleaning business and tending her one year old grandson. Laraine is an active member in the LDS church serving in various callings with Primary being her most favorite.
Lariane’s interests include holidays, movie date night, reading and book club, and Favorite Things lunch dates with her friends and exercising. She loves spending time with her family and enjoys attending her grandchildren’s activities.
Bruce and Laraine both love traveling, with one of their favorite trips being to Nauvoo, IL.
Their children and their spouses are Cindy and Ross Montano, Cheri and Drew Penrod, Erick Gardiner, Shaun and Natalie Gardiner. They have nine grandchildren with number ten due on May 5th.
