Richard Dee Rees, 74, of Peoria, AZ, passed away on March 13, 2014. Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

He was born August 3, 1939 in Ogden, Utah. Career wise, Richard graduated from three Utah colleges with A.S., B.S., M.S., and Ed. D. degrees. For over 40 years he was a professor ofpsychology at Glendale Community College, serving 14 of those years as chair of the Psychology Department. He was a licensedpsychologist in Arizona.

Richard was an accomplished musician and composednumerous songs. He especially cherished the songs he wrote for his wonderful wife and precious children. He was a loving husband,father, and grandfather. His greatest goal was to serve and love his family. He was a faithful member of and High Priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He also served as an ordinance worker in the Mesa, Arizona Temple for several years. He never lost sight of the values entailed in the concept of an eternal family.

Surviving are his wife, Teresa Lee Rees, his four children, David Rees, Carol Williams, Kenneth Rees, and Donna Canyon (Jonathan). He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
