Larry graduated from Ogden High School and served in the Army Air Force in England during WWII. He spent most of hiscareer as a life insurance agent with Prudential Life Insurance and Globe Life Insurance and for many years served as the lifeinsurance representative forOgden City employees.

Larry loved the game of golf and played at least weekly with his friends, walking the course until he became ill last fall. His 15 minutes of fame came when he made the newspaper after getting a "hole in one" in St. George. He also loved the outdoors andenjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, hunting, and panning for gold. He and his brother Jim hiked to the summit of Malan's Peak, overlooking Ogden, when he was 84 as they had done many times when they were kids.

He made friends easily with his infectious laugh and sense of humor, and was known for his integrity, kindness and concern for others. His family will miss his guiding wisdom, his patience and his constant support. Above all, Larry loved his family and spending time with them. His greatest love was for his wife, Barbara, to whom he was married for 65 years.
