CLEARFIELD 8, MOUNTAIN CREST 3: At Clearfield, Anna Snyder hit a two-RBI single with the bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth, helping fuel a seven-run inning, and Clearfield defeated Mountain Crest 8-3 Friday.

Clearfield, which had only five hits entering the bottom of the sixth, recorded five hits in the sixth inning alone.

Mountain Crest jumped ahead with a pair of runs in the first, and Clearfield scored a run in the bottom of the third.

Hanna Golder went 2-for-4 with a triple and Delaney Davis also went 2-for-4 for Clearfield.

GRANTSVILLE 11, BEAR RIVER 8 (8): At Garland, Grantsville overcame a 5-0 deficit and scored four runs in the top of the eighth, going on to defeat Bear River 11-8 Friday.

Bear River led 5-0, but Grantsville took the lead with six runs in the sixth. The two teams traded runs until the top of the eighth. Bear River added another run in the bottom of the eighth.

“It seems like we get into the latter part of the game and make one or two mistakes and the flood gates just break open,” Bear River coach Calvin Bingham said.

UINTAH 12, MORGAN 2: At Morgan, Morgan couldn’t keep pace with Uintah Friday, falling 12-2.

“Uintah is a tough team,” Morgan coach Ryan Skidmore said. “They hit in our gaps really well. It was a tough one to lose. We hung with them for a couple innings and thought we were going to be in the game, but it didn’t end that way.”

FREMONT 13, WOODS CROSS 3: At Plain City, Riley Ball hit a grand slam, Maddie Bosshardt went 3-for-4 and Fremont surged past Woods Cross 13-3 Friday.

The game was tied 1-1 before Fremont erupted for eight runs in the bottom of the third.
