SOFTBALL

FREMONT 6, MOUNTAIN CREST 1: At Plain City, Fremont scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to break open a tight game and defeat Mountain Crest 6-1 Friday.

Cassidy Wall homered for Mountain Crest, while Rane Hadley homered for Fremont.

TOOELE 3, BEAR RIVER 1: At Garland, Tooele managed just three hits, but one of them was a two-run homer in the top of the fourth that ended up being the difference in a 3-1 win over Bear River Friday.

With the loss, Bear River will be the fourth seed from Region 11 heading into the 3-A playoffs.

STANSBURY 17, BEN LOMOND 0: At Tooele, Stansbury scored 13 runs in the first inning on its way to a 17-0 win over Ben Lomond in three innings Friday.

MORGAN 10, PARK CITY 0: At Morgan, Addie Jensen struck out 13 and Morgan clinched the fourth seed in Region 10 with a 10-0 win over Park City Friday.

Morgan will be on the road against Tooele for the first round of the 3-A playoffs next Saturday.
