Clearfield planning commission gains new member

CLEARFIELD — The planning commission is welcoming a new member as another is leaving service.

Darren Carpenter served as a member of the planning commission but recently submitted his letter of resignation.

The council recognized him at its last meeting.

Barbara Perry, a current alternate member of the commission, was appointed to fill the vacancy on the commission.

Her term expires in February 2014.

The city still needs members for the commission, which has seven regular members and two alternates who advise the city council on land-use decisions, development activities, planning policy matters and interpretations.

Meetings are held at the city building at 7 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday of each month.

If interested, submit a letter of interest no later than Aug. 15 to Valerie Claussen, Acting Community Development Director, 55 S. State St., Clearfield, UT 84015.
