I respectfully ask the many supporters of the "tea party" movement to listen to what is being said by the people who were elected to Congress with tea party support. Such people have openly stated that they would allow the U.S. to default on its debt if necessary to fight "tax increases". Such "increases" are mostly reversals of unfair upper income tax cuts that are a significant contributor to the mess we are in now. Those who benefit greatly from the sweat of the working class must pay an appropriate tax to support society as a whole. We cannot continue to allow the formation of a privileged upper class at the expense of the middle and lower classes. There is no example in history of even one country where this has worked. The debt problem must be solved, but not by this dangerous trend of increasing financial class separation.
