WEST JORDAN, Utah  — Police are identifying a 2-year-old girl who died in a crash with a cement truck in West Jordan that also injured a mother and her son.

LOGAN -- Police say an 18-year-old Utah State University student was not distracted by a phone when she died in a January crash in Idaho, even though she posted on Facebook minutes earlier.

MENDON -- A 2-year-old boy is dead after his father backed a car over him at their home in Mendon.

LEWISTON, Idaho -- At the age of 2, an accident left Alaina Kaufman completely blind in her right eye.

Now, the Lewiston 19-year-old is hoping to raise enough money for a prosthetic eye that will give her a new outlook on life. Since elementary school, she's kept the damaged eye covered by a swoop of hair, but this can lead to awkward inquiries.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Authorities in Florida were trying to determine Monday what caused the horrific pileup on Interstate 75 south of Gainesville, where a long line of cars and trucks collided one after another on a dark highway so shrouded in haze and smoke that drivers were blinded.

LAYTON -- Zach Braegger has done all he can to repair his garage door after someone crashed their vehicle into it late Sunday night.

Braegger also performed some quick repair work to his own car, which was in the garage when the door came falling down. The impact from the moving vehicle pushed Braegger's car into several metal shelves and almost through a wall into the house.
