Murray man drowns in East Canyon Reservoir

SALT LAKE CITY -- Authorities have released the name of a 29-year-old man from Murray who drowned Saturday at East Canyon Reservoir.

Utah State Parks and Recreation says Raymond L. Behunin's body was recovered in 10 to 15 feet of water, about 25 feet from shore.

Witnesses say he was swimming without a life jacket when he went below the surface. Family members swam out but were unable to find him in the deep water.

The reservoir is about 30 miles northeast of Salt Lake City.
