Woman injured near busy Ogden intersection

The Ogden and South Ogden fire departments and EMTs responded just after 3 p.m. Saturday to an injury accident on Washington Boulevard, just north of Second Street. The victim was stabilized at the scene, then put into an ambulance for transport and treatment. Her name was not released.

Davis County boy killed in snowmobile crash

WOODLAND -- A young boy from Davis County was killed Friday afternoon when he and his father were in a snowmobile accident.Around noon near Woodland in Wasatch County, the 10-year-boy and his father were riding a snowmobile in the Nobletts Creek area, according to a release from the Wasatch County Sheriff's Office.

Train derailment reported in Morgan County

MORGAN - Authorities responded Saturday night to reports of a train derailment in Morgan County.A law enforcement officer arriving on the scene about 9 p.m. said the Union Pacific Railroad train was stopped and all cars appeared to be upright. Rail personnel were moving around the train.

A fire engulfed a garment factory outside Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka, trapping many workers and killing at least 112 people in the building without emergency exits.Authorities said the fire started on the ground floor late Saturday and spread upward, cutting off staircases and preventing workers’ escape. Some survivors were rescued from the eight-story building’s roof. Thousands of onlookers and anxious relatives gathered at the burned-out factory Sunday awaiting word on relatives who worked there. Bangladesh has some 4,000 garment factories, many without proper safety measures. The country annually earns about $20 billion from exports of garment products, mainly to the United States and Europe. Here are photos of the fire and its aftermath:
