LOXAHATCHEE, Fla -- The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has removed three big cats from the Florida home of Steve Sipek, an actor who once played Tarzan.

Ben Gazzara, veteran actor of stage and screen, dies at 81

A New York native of Sicilian heritage, Ben Gazzara was a strongly masculine, subtly menacing screen presence with a gravelly voice that one writer described as "saloon-cured" and another said could strip paint at 50 paces.

The veteran actor, who died Friday in New York City, found fame on Broadway in the 1950s, starred in the TV series "Run for Your Life" in the 1960s and was closely identified on the big screen with independent filmmaker John Cassavetes.

Ian Abercrombie, actor who played Elaine’s boss on 'Seinfeld,' dies at 77

LOS ANGELES — Ian Abercrombie, 77, the British character actor who played Elaine’s demanding boss, Mr. Pitt, on “Seinfeld,” died Thursday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, said his friend Cathy Lind Hayes. He suffered complications of kidney failure and recently had been diagnosed with lymphoma.

Gerard Butler rescued at big-wave surfing spot

HALF MOON BAY, Calif. -- Gerard Butler is OK after being held underwater by some big waves while filming for a movie about a surfer at Mavericks, a famed Northern California surf break known for treacherous, stories-high waves.

Filmmakers were shooting the 42-year-old "Of Men and Mavericks" star paddling out with competitive surfers Greg Long, Zach Wormhoudt and Peter Mel on Sunday afternoon, the San Mateo County Times reported (http://bit.ly/rwDfAI).

The four were steering clear of a set of waves in the 15-foot range when a much larger set broke in front of them, said Wormhoudt, of Santa Cruz.

Judge limits Lohan to one guest at a time during house arrest

LOS ANGELES — The party is over for Lindsay Lohan. Angry with paparazzi photos that appear to show the actress partying on the rooftop of her beachfront Venice home, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner told Lohan on Thursday she can no longer entertain more than one guest at a time while she is on house arrest.
