Year of the Air Force Family: AEF retreat openings available

Ready to deploy? Need to relax? The Team Hill Air Expeditionary Force retreat weekend, Dec. 4-6, still has openings available. Pre-registration is available through your unit's first sergeant until Nov. 25 and spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served priority basis for deployers, redeployers and their immediate families.

A $50 reservation fee per family applies, which covers the cost of all meals, lodging and activities. Families who attend will receive professional photos, Hill Hero gifts, personal deployment DVDs, relationship resources, and 13 hours of childcare with more than 20 crafts and games designed to help kids cope with separation, all free of cost. Three 1-hour sessions about relationships will also be available to couples, as well.

Fun activities for families to engage in include hiking, a kids' fun center, games, laser tag and seasonal activities, such as skiing, snowboarding and snow shoeing.

The retreat begins at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 4, and ends Sunday, Dec. 6, after 3 p.m.

Call the Base Chapel at (801) 777-2106 with any questions.
