Utah couple OK after plane's emergency landing

KINGMAN, Ariz. -- Northern Arizona authorities say a Utah couple escaped injury after their single-engine aircraft had to make an emergency landing.

DALLAS -- An American Airlines flight attendant disrupted a flight Friday morning as it was about to take off from Dallas Fort/Worth en route to Chicago, saying over the aircraft intercom system that the plane was going to crash, alluding to 9/11 terrorist attacks and ranting about the airline's bankruptcy reorganization, passengers said.

Sheriff's office confirms two dead in Morgan plane crash

MOUNTAIN GREEN — Daleray Madewell, 47, died doing the two things he loved: flying and helping people.

He had been flying 36-year-old Jennifer Sebesta back to Douglas, Wyo., from the Morgan County Airport after she saw her grandmother in Salt Lake City, said Doug McDuff, a friend who knew him for years.

The two were supposed to be back by Thursday evening, but McDuff said he got the news Friday morning that the Cessna 210 piloted by Madewell “had been in a very horrible crash.”

Missing plane found; no sign of survivors

 

MOUNTAIN GREEN — Rescuers have located a missing Cessna 210 that disappeared Thursday night.

The plane was found 11:30 a,m., about 250 feet down a ravine, approximately nine miles northeast of the Mountain Green Airport, said Morgan CountySheriff’s Sgt. Jason Lee.

Lee said there are no indications of survivors and the operation has switched from a rescue to recovery mode.
