They were married on Jan. 28, 1942, in Malad, Idaho. Their vows were solemnized on Oct. 28, 2011, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple. They have lived in Warren for the 70 years of their marriage.

Robert Cheney and Bessie Cornia Wadsworth of Washington Terrace celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Dec. 15. They were honored with a special family dinner and party at the Maddox Ranch House Restaurant on Dec. 28.

Married on Dec. 15, 1946, in Ely, Nev., their vows were later solemnized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple. Both have served in many callings in the LDS Church.

Ronald and Eleanor Kirkbride of North Ogden were honored at an open house celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary hosted by their daughter, son-in-law and their grandchildren: RaNae and Derek Dickey.

High school sweethearts, they graduated from Preston High School. They were married Dec. 27, 1951, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple.

They were married Dec. 1, 1961, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple.

Both were born in Ogden and grew up in Wilson as next door neighbors.

Dick and Yvonne Brown celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 26 with a family dinner at the Olive Garden in Layton.

They were married on Nov. 26, 1961.

He was born in Jerome, Idaho, a son of Glen and Esther Lynch Brown. She was born in Salt Lake City, a daughter of Dale and Afton Bennett Elison.

He worked at Hill Air Force Base for 33 years and was president and served on the board of directors for the Mutton Hollow Improvement District for many years. He leveled many yards and prepared gardens for planting with his tractor. He also enjoys woodworking.

Donald LeRoy and Marjorie Palmer Wright will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 22. A party was held in their honor in Layton on Nov. 19.

While on leave from the U.S. Navy, he met his future wife, who was working for his father. They married shortly after on Nov. 22, 1961, in Ogden. Their vows were later solemnized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Laie, Hawaii Temple.

John and Sonja Dods of Roy celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with close friends and family at the Maddox Ranch House Restaurant. They also took a two-week cruise and inland tour to Alaska to further celebrate the occasion.

They were married on Nov. 18, 1961, at the home of the groom in Price, after graduating side by side from Carbon High School. They later renewed their vows in the Catholic Church on their 10th wedding anniversary.
