William and Mary England

William and Mary England of South Ogden will celebrate their 60th anniversary. They were married on June 2, 1950, in Kaysville. Their vows were later solemnized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple.

The event will be commemorated at an open house to be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Friendship Park next to H. Guy Child Elementary, 655 E. 5490 South, South Ogden.

He drove a truck with his father for several years. He retired from Hill Air Force Base with 33 years of service. He does intarsia woodworking and has won many prizes. He enjoys yard work and traveling the country in their fifth wheel.

She worked at Internal Revenue Service for 10 years while raising their four children. She also managed their furniture store for 13 years. She is an accomplished crafter and also enjoys traveling. She enjoys being with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Their children and their spouses are Judy Glismann, Jerry and Teresa England, Bruce and Terri Nelson, and Tony and Robyn England.

They have 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren with one on the way.
